Why Everyone Stares
The tour where
you're the attraction.
Forget the bus. On a Hotrod you’re down at street level, engine growling, threading past landmarks most people only photograph from a queue. Tourists wave. Kids point. Strangers film you. For ninety minutes you’re not visiting Vienna — you’re the best thing happening in it.
Down at street level
Ten centimetres off the asphalt, engine growling — the city looks nothing like it does from a bus window.
You're the show
Tourists wave, kids point, strangers film. You don’t watch Vienna — Vienna watches you.
How It Works
From nervous to grinning
in four steps.
No experience needed. Here’s exactly how your afternoon runs — from the moment you arrive to the grin you leave with.
01
Check In
Arrive at our spot in the old town — Judengasse 4, steps from the Anker Clock and Stephansdom. Quick digital check-in, upload your licence from your phone.
02
Briefing & Practice
Helmet and radio on. Your guide walks you through the car and you practise in our garage until it clicks — no pressure, no public road yet.
03
The Drive
Roll out together and take on the city: Opera, Ring, old town, the Danube Canal, and a photo stop at Heldenplatz that breaks the internet.
04
The Grin
Cruise back to base buzzing, camera roll full, already planning to do it again.

Vienna at night in these little rockets is pure magic. Crossing the Danube right at sunset sealed it. Do the Sunset Fever tour.

Is It Safe? (Yes)
Nervous beforehand,
grinning after.
Licenses, safety, weather — we have got the answers.
Do I need a driver’s license to drive a hotrod?
Yes, you need a valid class B driving license (internationally accepted).
Is there a size limit?
Yes, you must be at least 5’1″ (1.55 m) and a maximum of 6’6″ (2.00 m) tall.
Are the hotrods approved for road use?
Yes! Our vehicles are officially road legal.
Can I rent the hotrod without a guide?
No! For safety reasons, we only offer guided tours with experienced guides.
Do I have to bring my own helmet?
No, we provide you with the helmet and beanie free of charge.

Yes, our hot rods are fully comprehensive insured. You can reduce your deductible from €500 to €250 for a fee of €10 per ride.
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
Our tours only take place in dry road conditions. If it rains, you have the following options: Free rebooking to a new date, Voucher valid for 3 years for a future ride, or Refund.
How big are the groups?
We start our tours with as few as 1 person – maximum group size: 12 participants. For larger groups, we divide the tours into 60-minute slots. (See the detailed Tour Process on the website.)
Are there group discounts?
Yes! For groups of 8 or more, there’s a 10% discount on the total price.
How long are the vouchers valid?
Our Hotrod vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
Which day is best for a tour?

You can reach us by phone at +43 660 6308773, by email at servus@hotrod-tour-wien.com, or via WhatsApp (+43 660 6308773).
How is a Hotrod Tour different from a Hop-On Hop-Off bus in Vienna?
Unlike a bus tour, you actually drive your own Hotrod through Vienna’s streets. You sit in the open air, feel the city at street level, and follow a guide in a convoy — no crowded double-decker, no stopping every 5 minutes. You see all the same landmarks (Ringstrasse, Schönbrunn, Opera) in about 90 minutes, but from the driver’s seat.
What is the fastest way to see all of Vienna’s sights without walking?
A Hotrod Tour is the most efficient way to cover Vienna without walking. In 90 minutes you drive past the Ringstrasse, Schönbrunn Palace, the Opera, Belvedere, and all major landmarks — fully seated in your own street-legal mini Hotrod. No walking, no museum queues, no bus transfers.
Is a Hotrod Tour a good experience gift in Vienna?
Yes — our gift vouchers are valid for 3 years and work for any tour type. A Hotrod Tour is one of the most unique experience gifts in Vienna: it’s active, memorable, and works for birthdays, anniversaries, JGA events, or corporate incentives. You can book online and receive the voucher by email immediately.
What makes the Hotrod Tour the best JGA activity in Vienna?
A bachelor party (JGA) Hotrod Tour means your whole group drives in a convoy through Vienna together — everyone gets their own vehicle, you’re loud, visible, and having a great time. No alcohol required, no planning headache. Groups of up to 12 can book together, and we offer a 10% group discount from 8 people.
Can I do a Hotrod Tour as a company teambuilding event in Vienna?
Absolutely. Our group tours are popular for corporate teambuilding in Vienna — your team drives in convoy through the city with a guide, no experience needed. We handle groups of up to 12 per slot and can run back-to-back slots for larger companies. Contact us for a custom group offer.
Is the Hotrod Tour suitable for beginners?
100%! No driving experience required. Every tour starts with a detailed 15-minute safety briefing and practice session in our garage. Our guide leads at the front and you simply follow. Hundreds of first-timers complete the tour every week without any issues.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
No dress code — but keep in mind the Hotrod is an open vehicle. We recommend a jacket in cooler weather and comfortable shoes. In summer, light clothing works perfectly. Helmets are provided by us.
Can I take photos and videos during the tour?
Yes! Many guests bring cameras or smartphones. There’s an official photo stop at the Heldenplatz for epic group shots. We also offer professional video packages with Insta360 X5 or Meta Glasses V2 — simply add as an upgrade when booking.
What languages are tours available in?
Our guides lead tours in German and English. For other languages, please enquire in advance — we’ll do our best to find a suitable solution for your group.
Is the Hotrod Tour accessible for people with mobility restrictions?
The Hotrods sit very low (10cm above the asphalt) and require stepping in and out from a seated position. For guests with limited mobility, our Piaggio TukTuk is available as a comfortable ride-along option. Please contact us in advance so we can find the best solution for you.
